Court records show Gary Busey,The actor and reality show star, has filed for bankruptcy on 2/7/2012 and is listing more than $500,000 in estimated personal debts. Busey’s filing on Tuesday in Los Angeles states the debtor has less than $50,000 in assets and more than $500,000 in debts.
This comes on the heel of another celebrity filing for debt relief. Sports agent Leigh Steinberg, the inspiration for the “show me the money” character in the movie “Jerry Maguire,” filed for bankruptcy protection for debt ranging from $1 million to $5 million in January of 2012.
